An intensive, virtual training for active Next Gen Sector Partnership teams to take their work to the next level, deepening industry engagement, strengthening public partner commitment, and increasing impact on your region’s economy.
The Level Up Training is designed for regional teams with active Next Gen Sector Partnerships who are looking for ways to grow, strengthen and sustain their work. The training will include:
Strategies for increasing the breadth and depth of industry engagement in your partnership, including building strong industry leadership teams and effectively recruiting new industry members;
Tools for building high-functioning public partner teams including sharing the load of staffing and support for your partnership and increasing partners’ commitment to jointly supporting your partnership;
Tips for achieving impact in strengthening your region’s economy and aligning education and training systems with industry needs.
Level Up will include opportunities to learn from leading partnerships around the country. It will also include two dedicated, facilitated team time sessions for your regional team to work with a Next Gen expert. These team time sessions will help your team develop an actionable roadmap for taking your partnership to the next level. Expect to come away with new peer connections from around the country, new ideas and inspiration, and practical next steps for taking your Next Gen Partnership to the next level.
Level Up will be Held in Two Parts:

Who is eligible to participate?
Regional teams with one or more active Next Gen Sector Partnerships. This is not an introductory workshop; teams should have a working knowledge of Next Gen methodology as well as experience building a Next Gen Partnership. If your partnership is currently inactive but you launched using the Next Gen methodology and are interested in rebooting, you are eligible to participate.
Teams of 3-10 individuals representing economic development, workforce development, and education organizations in your region. Industry leaders are welcome to join your team but not expected. The training will be primarily geared toward public partners. Note: teams must have a minimum of 3 participants in order to have a dedicated facilitator.
Since Next Gen Partnerships depend on a diverse support team, it’s critical that your team include at least one individual representing education, workforce development and economic development systems. (For example: a team of three Workforce Development Board staff and two One Stop Center Directors would not be eligible as the team only includes workforce development system partners).
